We knew that paintings could play a great role in giving the mood we wanted to Grumpy’s mansion, and there are many of them in our story.

We had to produce them very fast and efficiently, (the record was to make almost 40 paintings in a week) and we often used real paintings as a basis that we distorted in many ocassions. We also decided to incorporate caricatures of members of the team into some of the paintings, and It was a really fun experience.

Besides the paintings I supervised the art direction of the shortfilm, and developed many concepts for  assets of the mansion, environments, matte painting, color keys , etc.
