When Jesper, the new postman passes by the house of a sad kid that has lost his drawing, he is completely exhausted and cynical, after having failed since he arrived at getting the people of Smeerensburg to use postal service. At first, he is grumpy and unpolite with the kid, but then, an idea strikes him and he shifts drastically his attitude.

This story was inspired by an assignment that Bill Schwab proposed during his character design workshop in La Galeria Roja. We all know the story of the race between the Hare and the Turtle, but I found interesting to think about it from the perspective of the Hare after losing the race. I felt that there were some really interesting and relatable topics that seemed worth exploring, like depression, regret, dealing with our big mistakes and failures, and ultimately being able to move forward in life.

The Grumpy Ghost is a CG animated shortfilm that I started developing with some friends from university two years ago. This was the last version of the storyboard before we moved into layout. This boards served us as a great guide during the early stages of the short and throughout the whole process of figuring out the plot, gags, mood, etc.

Short storyboard moment, I find there’s some beauty in the low moments of characters, and wanted to play also with the mood of a dark tavern. Done in Photoshop, using layer comps.

TV TIME is a very simple and small shortfilm I made in a week as a class assignment while we were learning After Effects. I knew I wanted to play with the glitch effect and came up with this idea. I had a lot of fun foing it, hope you like it! :^)

This storyboard was the result of a class asigment which had the topic of «One character disturbing another one.» Starting from that concept we were completely free to think about an idea and develope a storyboard sequence. This was my take on it, hope you like it! :^) Done in Photoshop using layer comps.

I wanted to make an analysis of a scene I really liked from the Peter Jackson’s version of King Kong, the fight against the T- Rex. I went pretty loose using Storyboard Pro, and then I finished up some of the boards for the beggining of the sequence. It was a really interesting excercise trying to analize the decissions that he made in terms of composition, rythm and storytelling.
